Is there anything prettier than a well-manicured lawn on a beautiful spring day? If you own a home, probably not! While we love the aesthetic appeal of natural green grass, it doesn’t exactly benefit children in the ways that matter.
Here are just a few reasons to consider installing synthetic grass rather than natural grass.
- Safety – Natural grass is gorgeous but it is uneven, not cushioned, and dangerously slippery when it gets wet. Children are already chaotic and all it takes is one slip for an injury to happen.
- Poor Aesthetics – Natural grass becomes bare, dead, and hardened as it dies around the areas most frequently used by children. Bare patches of ground can quickly cause children to slip and fall, leading to potential injury.
- Allergens – Finally, natural grass exposes children to hazards including pollen allergies, toxic weeds, insects, and hidden holes in the ground. Professionally installed synthetic grass can go a long way toward minimizing these issues.
While ideal for our lawns and commercial properties, natural grass isn’t exactly the most inspiring choice for playgrounds and high-traffic areas with children.
